DNS configuration for cangooroo front

what is DNS?

The most simple way to explain DNS is to say that it turns names (or URL, such as google.com) into IP address. So when you type google.com in your browser calls a DNS server and turns it into http://172.217.9.14/ which is the way you access Google's search page.

why it needs to be configured?

When we deliver the Cangooroo front to any client it has an unique URL like frontXYZ.cangooroodns.com.br where frontXYZ is your front unique identification.

As a Cangooroo client you probably want to use your own domain, such as www.yourcompany.com, and that is why you need to configure the DNS for the domain yourcompany.com to point to your front.

Please don't forget to have the chosen domain correctly configured in Cangooroo.

You don't need to worry about TSL/SSL certificates. Once your configuration is correctly done the certificate will be issued and attached to your front. You don't pay anything to have the certificate, it is part of the front module.

how to decide when using www or not when using the main domain

If you do a redirect of the root domain to the URL www.yourdomain.com the URL configuration on Cangooroo's Intranet should be www.yourdomain.com.
